Really it is because we are constantly cleaning out our brushes while brushing our Saint Bernard Princess Goliath, it just never ends, but with the self cleaning brush our job is made that much easier. 

We also like the pivoting head because it glides right over our dogs fur without scrapping into her skin. It is gentle but it gets the job done right. I know if this is ever to break I will be replacing it with the same brush it is that good.

I was very excited for this since we have a Saint Bernard Spring is full of  hair everywhere and unless we help with her hind quarters she will have tufts hair through most of the summer.
