Crystal Growing Kit - Purple Amethyst

I was a bit set back when I first got this because we had bought a set from a different company from the 1.00 store, yes I know you sometimes get what you pay for and we were hit hard with that purchase times 2. We really wanted to show our girls how crystals grew so when this review came along I was more then overjoyed but still skeptical that it would even work.

All I have to say is follow the instructions as stated and you will be able to see your crystal growing within days. 100% better then the dollar store set that did nothing. The best part is my girls ages 6 and 11 were able to compare the purple Amethyst that was included to the crystal they were growing.

With the Discover with Dr. Cool Crystal Growing Kit - Purple Amethyst my girls were not disappointed and had fun learning. As a mom I love projects that are fun but also have a teaching or educational moment. Projects like this show children that some jobs out there can really be fun even if you have to work a lot to get to the end results. The activity book that was included was great for the girls to work on while they were waiting for their crystal to grow.

Discover with Dr. Cool has tons of other projects to do as well. A few I wouldn't mind getting for the girls to do during summer break next year.

Peel for Acne / Oily Skin

Salicylic Acid 2% Daily Gentle Peel for Acne / Oily Skin was something I got for my 17 year old daughter to use but since she has been super busy with school, vacation, 2 theater productions, singing, and being a Senior, I decided to be the guinea pig.

The directions say to use on a clean face and to apply the Salicylic Acid 2% Daily Gentle Peel for Acne / Oily Skin with gauze which we do not have so I used a cotton ball, which seemed to work fine. Then rinse face with cool water to neutralize. Then follow with a moisturizer to replenish moisture. It warns to only be uses on problematic or oily skin.

Sine I only have problem with oil on my chin that is where I uses it. After using it on my chin my chin felt really smooth while the rest of my face felt rough. I so want to use it just once on my whole face just to see if it will make my whole face feel smooth but I will listen to the directions.

I think this will work wonders for my daughter face and help her rid her face of the acne that seems to be taking over.

The first thing you might ask is what does a Clean Food Diet mean? It really doesn't mean to diet at al but rather to eat healthier foods that are not processed. More consumption of whole foods, not GMO's, more plant source based foods.

We don't quite as far as not eating meat but our family has been eating more healthy foods and for my readers how read my post the other night back to reading labels more often even if it is from a company we trust, you just never know when they will make a change. What you have always gotten just might not be what you were buying when it first started out.

Some of our favorite recipes from this book were the Caramelized Pineapple, Strawberry and Spinach Salad, Two ingredient oatmeal cookies (Yummy), and the Grilled peaches. My husband is still iffy about tofu so we haven't made that switch but we have substituted chicken for many of the recipes so if you still eat meat that is another choice for most of the recipes.

I have enjoyed reviewing Jonathan's books, I know I have one more to review but hope the will put out a few more so I can review those as well. Here is to a healthier life for everyone and the switch to a Clean Food Diet.
