MarksvilleandMe reviews Surpahs Dual-S Body Fat Scale

The Surpahs Dual-S Body Fat Scale is a really nice scale, but since I weight more then the 330 lb maximum weight limit so I had to get my children to assist on trying it out. I like that I don't have to hook it up to any computers which is really nice and easy for my daughters to use.

It is a bit smaller then my other 400 lb weight limit scales which makes sense since the person weighing themselves would have a smaller standing width. Even though this has all of the bells and whistles our family mainly uses it just to see how much we weight.

Maybe more healthy conscious people use all of the other measurement methods and down the road we might use more of them too. We are a family that has taken little steps to eating healthier, and trying to lose weight in the process. I know someday I will be able to weight myself on this scale like I do my bigger scale and that day will be a day to blog again.

You can purchase the Dual-S Body Fat Scale on Amazon.

Being Kind

Hello everyone I have been chosen to write a blog about kindness. All of my life I have been kind to almost everyone, even when they are not kind in return. Why you may ask. Well I was brought up to be kind to everyone and try to see things from both sides of the coin. We don't walk in others shoes, we don't live the lives they live. We just don't always know what make people the way they are. So being kind is the right thing to do.

I have had people say I say I was trying to steal friends by being kind. I have always made friends easily which is something I get from my father and I am proud to have gotten from him. I love everyone even those who have harmed me or my family. I don't have to like what they did or even like their choices but I still love them no matter what.

So with this kindness post I wanted to talk about different ways I have been kind over the years. Our family has given to toy collections for Christmas gifts, we have given to shelters, food pantries, and local community helping organizations. We have taken in homeless people before, giving them a place to eat, sleep, and get back on their feet.

We have held doors open, shared coupons with those who had groceries in their cart that we had coupons that matched. We have randomly given money to families that we heard while shopping telling their children in tow that they couldn't get such and such because they didn't have enough money.

This is just a sampling of what we have done for others over the many years we have been together. When we fell on hard times we have even had others lend a hand to make things better for us. More often then not that help came from strangers, not family. People we may never see again. This is what Kindness is. An act of giving freely of yourself either with money, products, or time.

I firmly believe the more kindness that is shown towards other the more kindness you get in return.

MarksvilleandMe reviews Nancy Drew: Labyrinth of Lies

Nancy Drew: Labyrinth of Lies brought back memories of ready Nancy Drew as a child. I have never played any of the Nancy Drew games on a computer before so this was all new to me. I am still at amateur level but I am making slow progress. It took a while for me to figure out just what they wanted me to do.

There are mini games built into the larger game to keep you occupied while you mill things over so you can solve the case.  Like the books the games keeps you playing so you can solve the case.

With Nancy Drew: Labyrinth of Lies you deal with cell phones which were never in the books growing up so this adds a whole other aspect to the game. They even through in the Hardy Boys to round the whole game out.

MarksvilleandMe reviews Kiva Organic Stevia

My husband loves when I get products he can try, and this is one of them. He drinks a lot of coffee but wants to drink it without taking in so much sugar, so he uses sugar substitute and recently changed over stevia.

This is the first time we have used an organic version. What we noticed right off the bat was how much sweeter it was then anything else we have used. Like most men my husband didn't read the directions and just put in what he does for our normal stevia brand but to his surprise it was way to sweet for his taste, so he had to keep adding coffee until it tasted right.

He had enough coffee for the whole day by the time he was done. Of course now he knows the conversion but even with that he finds he uses a lot less with Kiva Organic Stevia then he does with the other brands.

What I liked most is that it didn't have a bad aftertaste which means I can enjoy my food much more. Remember just a little goes along way.

You can purchase Kiva Organic Stevia on Amazon.
