MarksvilleandMe reviews Nancy Drew: Labyrinth of Lies

Nancy Drew: Labyrinth of Lies brought back memories of ready Nancy Drew as a child. I have never played any of the Nancy Drew games on a computer before so this was all new to me. I am still at amateur level but I am making slow progress. It took a while for me to figure out just what they wanted me to do.

There are mini games built into the larger game to keep you occupied while you mill things over so you can solve the case.  Like the books the games keeps you playing so you can solve the case.

With Nancy Drew: Labyrinth of Lies you deal with cell phones which were never in the books growing up so this adds a whole other aspect to the game. They even through in the Hardy Boys to round the whole game out.

MarksvilleandMe reviews Kiva Organic Stevia

My husband loves when I get products he can try, and this is one of them. He drinks a lot of coffee but wants to drink it without taking in so much sugar, so he uses sugar substitute and recently changed over stevia.

This is the first time we have used an organic version. What we noticed right off the bat was how much sweeter it was then anything else we have used. Like most men my husband didn't read the directions and just put in what he does for our normal stevia brand but to his surprise it was way to sweet for his taste, so he had to keep adding coffee until it tasted right.

He had enough coffee for the whole day by the time he was done. Of course now he knows the conversion but even with that he finds he uses a lot less with Kiva Organic Stevia then he does with the other brands.

What I liked most is that it didn't have a bad aftertaste which means I can enjoy my food much more. Remember just a little goes along way.

You can purchase Kiva Organic Stevia on Amazon.

Moisturizer Cream

My regular readers might remember me reviewing ADOVIA Moisturizing Day Cream earlier this year. You can find that review here. I have been looking forward to reviewing more of their products and here I have product number two the Adovia Anti Wrinkle Facial Moisturizer Cream.

First of all like the first product I reviewed for Adovia the smell is wonderful. The cream is a little bit more thicker as well. Not so thick that you have to rub and rub to get it on your face, just a bit more of circular motions like the box suggests until it is all absorbed into the skin, can be worn under makeup. For best results use once a day.

The Adovia line makes me feel like I have just been to a spa, that I am really treating myself as well as my skin to a stress free day of relaxation and pampering.

If you would like to purchase this for yourself you can do so on Amazon.

You can find out more about  Adovia on Website.

Are we being duped at the Grocery Store?

Today was a day of cleaning while the kids played outside with their friends between their own chores. After cleaning all day we decided on a quick dinner so we had breakfast for dinner. Easy enough. We had banana pancakes, scrambled eggs, hash browns, sausages, and orange juice.

While enjoying dinner with my family my eye was caught by something on the juice label.

If you can't read it. It says "50% less sugar & calories then orange juice". To that I said then what am I serving to my family if it isn't orange juice. I try to round out my families diets down to the the beverages we put into our bodies. Upon further reading, the very small print that is hidden by the same color of the label it says. "100% Vitamin C Orange Juice Beverage with vitamins". I took a sip and sure enough it tasted nothing like Orange Juice.

The more I sat there they madder I became. I have bought Tropicana products since I first became pregnant with my oldest son over 24 years ago. I have always thought of the Tropicana company as having 100% orange juice so I didn't even read the label when I picked it up from the store.

I know now to be more careful in what I put in my cart, but there will be a call as well as an email sent to Tropicana about making the words beverage much more clearer to consumers. I feel taken advantage of as well as disappointed in a company I have trusted to do right by my family.

Putting modified food starch in the juice I serve to my children is just not right. An ingredient list changing from one item 100% orange juice to 17 or more ingredients just does not sit right with me. So for me as a parent I have to go back to reading the labels of companies I have long trusted to keep my families health at the fore front of their marketing, because of this.

My rant is over for now back to my regular scheduled blogging.
