Raw Organic Unfiltered Shea Butter

Having a large family we have lots of skin to take care of so we are continually buying different products for our skin. Most of the time when I buy lotion, I actually look for it to have Shea Butter as an ingredient. My favorite before this was lotion with oatmeal, or with the scent of baby powder. 

Before this review I had never seen  Raw Organic Unfiltered Shea Butter and was even asked by the representative if I was ready for it to be different then what you see in the stores. I said sure, because how bad could it be. No bad at all, actually quite wonderful. 

Raw Organic Unfiltered Shea Butter can be used for skin, hair or as an ingredient in homemade products such as soaps, and conditioners. 

The bag in the picture above looks like it may be fabric but in fact is is a thick paper bag  with a protective aluminum type lining. The bag has a zip lock closure to keep your  Raw Organic Unfiltered Shea Butter fresh. 

Inside this bag there is another plastic bag which holds your Raw Organic Unfiltered Shea Butter which also has a zip lock closure. This company really wants to make sure their product gets to you as fresh as possible. 

When we opened the plastic bag the first thing we smelled is the  Raw Organic Unfiltered Shea Butter which smells a bit nutty to me. The texture because mine was solid was like sand when we took pieces of it off but quickly softened into our hands.

I use as many experiences as I can to educate my daughters so they were the first to try it. My 11 year old put some on her dry knees, and my 6 year old put some on her fathers knees, and then what was left over in her hands she rubbed in her hair. 

My 6 year old keeps asking me if she can play with it so I guess I will have to find a hiding place for it, or else she will have it all over her body and any other willing unsuspecting object or person.

Before trying out the Ecosak Nut Milk Bag, I had never heard of a nut bag before, but I had heard of cheese cloth, and the Ecosak Nut Milk Bag said it was easier to use then cheese cloth, and could be reused over and over again. Sounds both Economical, and Eco conscious to me. 

All the rage today about Greek yogurt if only people knew how easy it is to make yogurt or Greek yogurt they would make their own too. I had heard of almond milk before, but had no idea you can pretty much make it from any kind of nut. This intrigued me so I am going to be doing another blog about our families first time making nut milk. 

OK back to this Ecosak Nut Milk Bag, it was much bigger then I thought it would be about the size of 8 by 11 piece of paper but round in shape rather then rectangular. The Ecosak feels satiny, rather then stiff like I thought it would be and has a draw string top.

One Natural Sleep Aid

Usually I don't have a hard time falling to sleep but it does happen from time to time and in the past I have just either taken a bath, read a book, watched a movie, cleaned house, or just tossed and turned trying to get to sleep.

I do have a daughter though that since she was a baby would be up all night until the wee hours of the morning, and then be up bright and early and take no naps. She still does this at the age of 11. She doesn't make messes so we kind of just let it go. 

My husband and I kept hearing about Melatonin and finally asked our Dr. if it would be a safe option to try with our daughter. He had us start out with a small dose  and told us to try it for a couple of weeks. Most people don't realize this is not meant to be taken every day it is just supposed to be taken long enough to reset your bodies sleep schedule. 

So here I am with this bottle of Natural Sleep X - The All-in-One Natural Sleep Aid waiting for a night where I can't get to sleep. Well lets just say that I have been in pain since I got it and have not been able to try it out first hand, because by the end of the day I am so tired i go right to sleep, although my husband says every time I roll over I cry out in pain.
