A big thank you to MorningStar Farms and House Party for a great sampling event hosted by your truly MarksvilleandMe.
The box is here, what is inside?
Awesome! Reuseable grocery bags, hot mitt, Frisbee, coupons, and a apron.
Here is the bonus stuff laid out to see.
Here I am thinking about which burgers to try first.
I just picked up my MorningStar Farms veggie burgers the other day.
We decided on:
Asian Veggie Patties which are sweet & spicy, with hints of chilies, garlic, and ginger.
100 calories a burger and cholesterol free.
Grillers California Turk'y which is a veggie turk'y burger with avocados & tomatoes.
100 calories a burger and also cholesterol free.
Last but not least was the Meiterranean Chickpea which is a veggies style burger made with chickpeas, spinach, and roma tomatoes.
110 calories a burger.
Here is a picture of the boxes. Don't worry about the small size because they are big on taste.
I was very excited to see that they picked up the grill marks from our inside grill.
A really good plus for me is that the clean up was a breeze.
Regular burgers leave a lot of grease to clean up while the MorningStar Farms Veggie Burgers were a quick soapy water wash with no scrubbing needed.
We decided on Veggie Burgers and Salad for dinner.
Above you see our lettuce, tomatoes, red onion, avocado, and feta cheese .
Not pictures were the condiments, dressings, and olives.
Yummy Salad!
My husband the meat and potatoes man traded his double cheeseburger for a doubt veggie burger.
His first veggie burger ever.
He says the MorningStar Farms burgers fell apart to easily, because all of the good stuff that keeps regular burgers together was missing!
He did eat them, but said he wouldn't buy them for the price they want, but if they were on sale and I had coupons then I could buy them again.
Here is my 6 year old having her first veggie burger with cheese and ketchup.
She likes spicy but thought there were a little too spicy.
Daddy finished her burger for her.
While not my first veggie burger I have to say that MorningStar Farms make a good burger.
Sadly I agree with my husband unless they were on sale, and I had a coupon I don't see us buying them too often.
Overall our family enjoyed these and wouldn't mind eatting MorningStar Farms products again, but the price is a bit steep
For our family this was a great no meat meal to go along with our weight loss efforts which you can read about over at
Pam's fight to lose weight.
