I had a surprise in the mailbox this morning. The New CD "Time" from Rod Stewart a day before release. Can you believe almost 20 years since his last album and he is still rocking, while looking as young as ever.

Rod Stewart is one of the artists out there that bring back many fond memories of time with my father. When Rod was on TV it was one of the only times I was able to stay up late with my father to view his performances.
My father was a farmer but he enjoyed all kinds of music and made sure that I was introduced to many different genres at an early age.
I do have to say I have a soft spot for the British. My grandfather was from Coventry England, and it is in my blood I guess. Everything from music, books, movies, sports, food, and dialect.
It is amazing to hear Rod Stewart at 68. He has a voice that is unique, welcoming, and unchanged.
I don't have a favorite track because I enjoyed every one of them. I was just happy that he put out another album. Don't get me wrong I love his other albums too, but having some new content this great just adds to how talented Rod Stewart really is.
As I was listening to the CD for about the 5th time today I decided to take a look at the CD case, and for those who love to know the lyrics, you will be glad to know that the CD includes all of the words to the songs.
I hope you will take the time to check out his album, and maybe even comment on what your favorite Rod Stewart song of all time is.
Stewart rediscovered the spark for songwriting while reviewing his life for his recent memoir.
"Suddenly ideas for lyrics were piling up in my head," he says. "Next thing I knew, I had a song called 'It's Over' about divorce and separation. And now I was getting up in the middle of the night and scrambling for a pen to write things down, which has never happened to me. I finished seven or eight songs very quickly and I still wasn't done, and it became apparent that I would eventually have a whole album of material to record."
