OK here's the story I was to receive these long handled ice cream spoons for a review, so I ordered them, never received them. Tracking says the UPS put the box on our outside porch. Well our UPS man always puts the boxes on our inside porch, and all of our other packages that day came with no problems, so I had to have the company send another set out because Amazon says they were delivered when they were not.
Amazon this time put them in with 6 other items and they have been in transit between New Jersey and my home which is a hop skip and jump away since September 3rd. I spent a considerable amount of time on the phone with Amazon the other day to get them to ship the Spoons out yet again and the other 6 products I didn't get from the second order which are lost somewhere in the Twilight Zone. They are supposed to arrive on September 23rd. Let's just say I am not holding my breath.
No this isn't a bash on Amazon, things like this happen, and 99.9% of my other items have come on time if not early so I really can't complain all that much. So I am writing this until I can get the real review up about the spoons so that my information is up on time. I will return and edit this when the spoons come in to tell everyone how they are.
So here is the update Finally my spoons have arrived very long story but after two orders which were not the seller's problem they are here safe and sound. Love these spoons for ice cream sundaes. When we have ice cream sundaes we go all out with the tall ice cream sundae dishes, toppings, the works, right down the cherry on top. Having long handled spoons is a must to keep the fingers from getting all full of chocolate which I am sure wouldn't be much of a problem, but hey us moms try to keep our little ones clean when we can.
We also use these for Root Beer Floats which again we go all out with. We have the super large beer mugs that aren't used for anything other than Ice Cream Floats. My mother never really liked Root Beer Floats so she always got her with cola instead. I like to put orange soda in from time to time as well, but our family's all time favorite would be the Root Beer Float and again a long handed Ice Cream Spoon is needed to enjoy it correctly.
These Long Handled spoons are a little bit differently shaped than a Ice Tea Spoon which we have used from time to time if the Ice Cream spoons have been dirty. More rounded on then a egg shape, but not like a soup spoon either. I really like these spoons and they will make a great addition to our silverware.
