Tourniquet trauma kit by Lia Medical

Our family has a bleeding disorder and when I found out that most ambulances do not carry tourniquets anymore that scared me. I asked them what I should do and they said to make sure we have one in our home in our first aid kit, in the car, and to make sure it can be found easily in case of emergency.

This is also great to have on hand if you are a hiker, or mountain climber. I suggest anyone who has a bleeding disorder have one of these on hand just in case.

Having a bleeding disorder is never any fun but having children on top of yourself having it is even scarier. We have been dealing with it for some time and we found out that most EMT and ambulances do not have Tourniquets on their vehicles so we were instructed to actually have one in our home first aid kit just in case. A little extra peace of mind is just what we needed.

I hope never to actually have to use it but we are planning on teaching the children how to use one in case of emergency and if help comes to instruct them where the tourniquet is. This is a nice tourniquet that has everything you need to help someone in case of extreme blood loss.
