Beginner's Carving

If you are thinking about carving or know someone who is this might be a great item for them. I can see more advanced carvers using this tool set as well.

Years ago my husband liked to carve but did it with knives and ended up getting stitches more then I would have liked him to have because he had the wrong tools. Tools like this might have saved him a few trips.

I love that it comes with so many pieces so that you can get different carving techniques with one set. There are 12 pieces in the set and the ebook that was included is a really nice extra.

We told ourselves we would try to make sure our children had the right tools to do arts and crafts with so they wouldn't have to make those trips to the hospital. So far so good, 25 years later and no trips to the hospital for craft disasters.

Hose Holder and Carrier for Garden Hose

Even though I read the size I didn't expect it to be as big as it was when it was delivered. I am fine with a hose holder like this but my husband wants one of those kind that wind the hose back up on it.

Until then this one will be just fine. I like how I can have this hanging where I need it and be able to take it inside for the winter.

With the expandable hoses we haven't tested to see if they can stay out in the winter or not yet and to be honest I don't want to take the chance on leaving one out and it not making it's way through the winter, being left with a damaged garden hose in the spring.

Digital Vernier Caliper

This is a pretty neat tool for those who need it in their field of work. My husband used one of these almost everyday at his last job before he became disabled and was excited to see me get one to review. You can find our video review on YouTube under MarksvilleandMe.

I love that this is digital, comes with a case to store it in and does both inside and outside measurements. It also has a quick guide on the back which is a nice reference for those who are learning how to use a Vernier Caliper.

Must have for testing batteries

 

This is the second Multimeter we have reviewed from Nubee and is just as good as the other one being that they are the same brand but different model numbers. They each have their own plus that make them independent of one another, but I think either would be great for use in the home or professional field.

Love the case to protect your multimeter from falls as well as shocks. Comes with a battery which is always nice to have. Also works fast and efficiently. We only use a few of the available choices on the dials. Mainly for checking out if our batteries are any good.

The backlight on this is a plus for when you are in darker areas such as a basement or crawlspace.

Reviewing Megapro Screwdrivers

My husband is always losing his bits, mainly from the children using his tools and not putting them back right but now he has a nice set of screwdrivers from Megapro with built in bit storage, which is great for on the go fixing, tinkering, building.

Where do you store your extra knives?

Personally I have always wanted a magnetic knife rack, although I love my knife block we have more knives then what can fit in it so having somewhere extra to store them is nice. This fit perfectly into the pegboard siding of our kitchen island.

If you don't want to use this for knives you can also attach it to the bottom of a cabinet and have little glass baby food jars having from their tops from it for storage. Didn't try it on Mason Jars but that might work too.

Great for organization, looks fantastic, and got me thinking about other ways to use this magnetic strip around the house.

This is the second Infrared Thermometer we have reviewed, it has many of the same qualities and specs of the first one including being used in the last Ebola outbreak which tells you it was a trusted piece of equipment. 

In our home we mainly use it to test the walls for cold spots for the winter so we can remedy the situation to save on our electric and heat bills.
