Maybe it is because most thermometers are small and can be misplaced in the wee hours of the night when you are trying to care for a child, or maybe they are like socks you put them in the washer together but by the time they come out you only have one. Now this is something that I am really in love with. I can get my roasts ready, stick in my probe, set my iPad mini, plop the roast in the oven, and go about other things while waiting for my roast to reach the perfect temperature. 

Handy suction cup keeps it attached to the counter, the thermometer is attached to a cord that reaches into the oven with plenty of room to spare. The Meat claws are great for making shredded pork, chicken, or beef. Makes a job just a bit easier then using regular dinner forks.
