Planning and having a large family meant spending our money wisely or as wisely as we could with what we had coming in. One of the things that were cut back early on in our marriage was going to the hair stylist for hair cuts. I do about once every year or even once every two years. I don't really put ties like this in the men's department only area because even women and teen girls can make a tie like this look good.

Brings back memories of the 80's and too me the look with wearing ties still fits in well with both work, and casual looks.

Our family has not been devastated by breast cancer other than my uncles wife. Ultimately it was cancer that took her life but not sure if it was just breast cancer or not. Cancer took my mother away as well. Hers was not breast cancer but it was still a cancer only women can get. Cancer is a big thing in this world and a killer that can sometimes be silent until it is too late. 

This is why we need tests, research, and awareness about all kinds of Cancer. This month, October 2015 is the month for Breast Cancer Awareness. Join me and others in showing our support while bringing awareness for this disease to all those we come across.  

One way to do this is by wearing a Limited Edition Charm and every time someone asks where you got it tell them about what it supports and how to help out themselves. Also remind the women and men in your life to do breast self exams at least once a month, get mammograms as needed, and reach out to a Dr. with any questions or concerns in between.

Making Cinderella

In case you haven't realized Halloween is just a hop skip and away from being front and center. The stores are setting up their merchandise, some people have even already started to decorate. For our family the kids are picking out what they want to be. Sure I have lots of ideas what I would like them to be for Halloween, but it really comes down to what they want to be.

My 7 year old Dorothy settled on being Cinderella from the Wedding. We have the Tiara (borrowed from my older 12 year old Princess Deanna) and the shoes. All we needed was the dress.

Once it came in she couldn't wait to give it a whirl. This dress is super nice by the way. I would even let her wear this to a special outing because it just is that nice.

Even though she wears a size 8 in girls clothes I always order costumes a size bigger so we went with the 10-12 size. A little extra room so she can get more than one wear out of it.

All of my children have loved to play dress up so we have lots of props for different kinds of play. Imagination is something I love to instill in my children and their love for creating just fills my heart with cheer. Often when the girls aren't playing Princess, you will find them fighting crime and evil by being fully dressed in Superhero Costumes.
