Our family can not wait to get our hands on this game. The first one left us laughing so hard we almost burst and this one adds in doing tasks with the mouthpieces in. This is going to be hilarious. Our family loves games and we love games that are fun even more. This one is sure to make everyone happy. Keep an eye out for our review of this very game coming soon.

Rally Roll

Are you looking for a cool new game to play that can be taken on vacation and takes up pretty much no room? Then this game from Blue Orange Games might be a good one to get. It comes with a travel bag to store the dice and directions in between play. This is great for on the go fun, vacations, game nights, sleep overs, etc. Think camp where electronic devices are not allowed.

Easy to play, slotted for ages 8 plus. You just roll and decide if you want to risk it all and roll again or pass. I can see over time our family modifying the game a bit too. The only downside is that it is such a small game that we actually misplaced ours but I know we will find it sooner or later and when we do I will post better pictures of it played in action.

Rally Roll can be found on the affiliate link below.

Let’s Eat Together

Being parents for quite some time we are always looking for ways to show our children table manners as well as keeping it family friendly.

We eat around the dinner table most nights as a family all together, starting with blessing our food before us.

Usually during dinner time we catch up on the day's events with our children, remind them of upcoming events, as well as checking in on them to see how they are doing.

We have lots of laughs but sometimes we even have some major discussions about things in the world.

This placemat can help your child learn to help with getting dinner ready, their manners, as well as keeping them occupied while adults are talking. They can even jot down their ideas so when it is their turn they don't forget what they want to bring up during dinner.

I think this is a great idea for both families just starting the dinner time routine or those who have been doing for years. We give this item a thumbs up.

The chart can be found on Amazon.

What the Victoria Chart Company has to say about their product.

To help parents and carers maximise their children’s mealtime experience, our double sided dry erase ‘Let’s Eat Together’ placemat (11 x 18 inches and includes a pen) is a fun, interactive tool that children just love to complete after a meal.  Side one provides a check off system encouraging children to learn their table manners and side two provides fun activities to play at the table after a meal.
Side one:  some of the ‘table manners’ include:
  • I helped set the table
I have washed my hands before eating
I didn’t talk with food in my mouth
No playing gadgets at the table
    I helped clear the table
Side two:  some of the ‘activities’ include:

  • What’s your best loved? (choose a theme such as animals, letters, food and then discuss why)
What makes you feel? (happy, excited, proud, worried or tired and then discuss why)
Animal alphabet fun (see if you can complete the alphabet naming an animal for each letter)
What’s the opposite of? (think of some fun, simple words suitable to your child’s age)
    Just doodle

Fish, Fish, Squish

A few years ago I really wanted to get into reviewing games during our family game nights but most of what we already had were games almost everyone has not that I don't mind doing reviews on older games because I don't. We still enjoy playing them but I wanted to show my readers new games that they might not know about so now that I have a little more experience under my belt and more newer games to tell my readers about I want to start doing game reviews more often.

This week we played Fish, Fish, Squish made by Winning Moves Games. When I first opened it I noticed there was squish dough in four colors so I told my girls to grab some snack bags to store the dough in after the game but to my surprise this company had thought of everything and put in 4 plastic resealable bags for the dough to be stores in. First good score for our family. A second goes to the squishy dough because who doesn't like playing with dough?

This game is meant for two - four players with each picking out a dough color a fish mold (games come with 4) and a fish card to stand your fish on. Each person makes 5 fish. Then the oldest person sets up the game. Very easy to do.

Now for the squishing part of the game. You just flip one card at at a time and if you get three different color fish in a row you get to squish one of any opponents fish. The person with the most fish left when all cards have been turned over wins. We had to go into overtime because two of us had two fish left. My husband ended up winning.

This game is more for a child but my 13 year old and even my husband and myself had fun at 43. Like I said who doesn't like playing with dough.

Overall this game has staying power. If your dough ever gets worn out just replace with your favorite squish dough which you can find in just about any toy store. When you first work the dough that comes with it make sure an adult helps, it is a bit tough, once it is worked in it is soft and pliable though. Our family gives this game a thumbs up.

You can find Fish Fish Squish on Amazon.

Family Game Night with Family Alias

We have always enjoyed playing games, but finding new games we haven't played yet to add to our collection is sometimes hard.

I recently went through our board games and have a list of older games that we have played so much that we are missing pieces or they are falling apart so I added those to our buy again list.

Family Alias is a great game for big or small families. Our family had quite a good time playing. At first my husband was not quite in it because he didn't think it would be fun but after a few turns he was right in the game like everyone else.

Easy to set up, play, and gives several options for play, and also a way to make it easier for children to play by giving them other options to get their points to move on the board. You can see in my picture one of my daughters helping out the other when she had to explain the picture without saying the word on the card.

This gives both children and adults a fun way to be able to explain something to someone else by using other words to get them to guess the right word. I have to warn you the adult cards are harder then you would think, at least the first card was for me. I told my husband I would have had to get a dictionary out for a couple of the words but the family cards are friendly for any age.

You also have wild cards that are just fun and silly ways to do things during the game and then kids cards that bring the game down a bit so that the youngest can play just as well as the older game players.

Slotted for ages 7 and up. 2-8 players. We played with 4 people and the youngest was 8. She loves family game nights.

Alias and other games made by Tactic can be found on Amazon.

What Tactic has to say about their product.

Family Alias ($20 for ages 7+) The Alias game that is equally challenging to both children and adults. In this game, players use a spinner to see who you partner is for that round. For grownups there are special explaining styles that make the game even more hilarious.

Family Game Night with Roosterfin

Our family loves to play games and with it getting colder outside this is what we turn to on rainy, cold, or snowy days when the children can't go outside to play. Yes we play games in the spring and summer, just not as much as in the colder months. What can I say we are blessed with children who would rather be outside playing then inside cooped up.

Recently we had the chance to try out three new to our family games from Roosterfin through a featured party opportunity from Tryazon. We were able to try out Rooster Race, Lumpy Cubes, and Mohawks.

What we loved most about the games from Roosterfin is that they were new and different from other games available, which is what we strive for.

Here we are opening and learning about the games while having fun doing it.

First Game up
Mohawks

Mohawks is a really fun game to play. Each player gets two balls of the same color and you have to bounce them on a table into the goal. We had lots of fun with this. You could also play with 6 people with 2 of each being on a team if you want to change up the game a little.

Lumpy Cubes

Lumpy Cubes is awesome and probably the one we had the most fun with. As you can see I was the big winner tonight. Very easy to play up to 4 people unless you want to do teams. You flip a card over and everyone playing needs to put their cubes together in the same order as the card says. First person with the right combination wins.

Rooster Race

Rooster Race was really fun as well. I would suggest that there be more corn included because we ran out and had to use slips of paper for corn. In this game everyone is dealt cards with one card being left face up on the table. You then take turns guessing if your card is going to be lower or higher, if you guess right you get a corn, wrong and you lose a corn. When all cards are flipped over the winner will be the one with the most corn.

What we like about all of the games from Roosterfin is that they are easy to set up, playtime is quick, and the games keep everyone involved. I look forward to trying out more games from Roosterfin in the future.

You can find Roosterfin games on their website or on Amazon.
