One item I didn't get from my mother when she passed was her crocheting supplies. It wasn't something I thought about until a hole started in the afghan she made me when I was a wee one. Since then our girls and myself have taken knitting and crochet classes, and even though we aren't pros we can make a few things on our own.
Both knitting and crocheting are much easier than you would think. Having the right items for the job is a must and even though one simple hook, or needles will start you on your craft, if you decide to do more you will need different sizes and other materials along the way to learning more.
The set I was sent is a 10 piece set of bamboo handled crochet needles which are very easy to use and go all the way down to the tiny size to make pretty things like lace doilies.
