Getting ready to learn how to sew

I am just getting into sewing. You must be thinking she has 6 kids and is just learning to sew? Well I can sew a button on by hand and make a small gap in clothing closed with no problem but I want to learn how to use a Sewing Machine.

With our move and now another move I had to put it off once again, but I learned that there are different presser feet for different kinds of sewing. Who knew? OK well I didn't.

The biggest project I want to make is a quilt for each of my children made from their shirts, jerseys, and favorite lovies from their child hood.
