Snakes are not my favorite but I don't mind learning about them and this is just the thing for the little snake lovers in your life. This is also a great book for an introductory in learning about snakes. Creepy Crawlies, and Slimy Snakes, just what most boys love. 

My girls enjoyed learning about different snakes as well as seeing all of the snakes up close and not so personal. Not that they are afraid because we have gone to reptile facilities and they have both touched and held the snakes, but lets keep the dangerous ones as far away as possible. 

Where we live we deal with Copper heads, Rattle snakes, and Water Moccasins, I believe the rest are none poisonous to my knowledge at least in our area.
