I can't say that I'm excited, but with the opioid crisis so prevalent in our community, this film really hits home. We have seen addiction ravage through friends, family, and communities to the breaking point. Everyone reaches a moment where they feel exhausted, defeated, or ready to quit. "Just One More" is about what happens when someone finds the courage to keep going anyway. This is a story about second chances. About redemption. About the people who fight for one more day, one more conversation, one more opportunity to make things right. About Just One More

Jess is trapped in the vicious cycle of opioid addiction, chasing relief that only pulls her deeper into darkness. When she meets Charles, a dying man spending his final days praying for anyone who will stop, her life begins to shift. Through an unexpected community and growing faith, Jess is forced to confront her past, her choices, and what it really means to be free. As Charles prays to be used “Just One More” time, Jess must decide if she’ll surrender her life before it’s too late.

This is an emotional, character-driven story about redemption, perseverance, and the life-changing impact one person can have on another. At its heart, Just One More is about choosing hope one more time, even when life feels impossible.

What I think about this film. 

"Just One More" tells the story of a man named Charles, who wishes to make a difference in the final days of his life. He longs for just one more win for Jesus. The story also follows a woman named Jess, who is struggling to overcome addiction and has found herself alone after her family and friends have given up on her, leaving her to face her battle on her own. This narrative is about strangers becoming friends and Jesus working behind the scenes to save the broken-hearted, the forgotten, and the lost. It also serves as a reminder to those who are saved to be forgiving, compassionate, and to never stop praying. This movie encourages us that Just One More prayer, conversation, hug, or act of kindness can make a difference.

Personally, this story resonated with me. I have never stopped praying for my children, even as they have grown. I see them struggle with life and their choices. I try to offer advice, but they are adults, and what we say as parents doesn't always align with their perspectives on life or the decisions they make. From day one, their salvation has been my strongest prayer for them, and it is a commitment I will continue until my last breath.

I am excited to share my review of the NKJV New Testament, Tracing Edition. Everyone learns differently, and research shows that handwriting can enhance learning. This might explain why teachers often had students write their spelling words repeatedly or why misbehaving students would be required to write something multiple times on paper or the chalkboard as a form of discipline.

The NKJV New Testament Tracing Edition that I own has a gray, fabric-feel hardcover and a unique lay-flat spine design that makes tracing comfortable for both right- and left-handed users. The text is printed in grayscale, allowing you to trace over each letter, word, paragraph, chapter, and book of the New Testament. I used it as a right-handed person, and my husband, who is left-handed, also found it easy to use. We appreciated that it lays flat, which reduces strain during use.

One aspect I noticed is that while it claims to have wide margins for note-taking, I found them to be inadequate for that purpose. Instead of using regular pens, we decided to use disappearing ink pens, allowing us to use this edition repeatedly. This feature is particularly beneficial for children who are learning to read and memorize verses. With the ink disappearing, you can write verses multiple times while memorizing them, or simply enjoy calming your mind while studying the New Testament. Overall, this is an excellent tool for reading and writing that helps deepen familiarity with Scripture.
